Welcome INN
St. Andrew’s is proud to partner with the Welcome INN to feed the homeless and working poor in Capistrano Beach. With over 50 volunteers, the Welcome INN serves one nutritious meal a day 7 days a week to a homeless and working poor population of approximately 50 – 70 men, women and children at Capistrano Beach locations. Volunteers are divided into teams so that they can share the opportunities and not place too much burden on any one individual. In addition, on Saturdays we serve twice daily in Capistrano Beach through the generosity of several local churches and volunteers.
Mission Hospital provides the bulk of the donated food, but there is a team that picks up bread, pies and cakes from local grocery stores, as well as donations from other sources. In addition, volunteers can supplement food and paper products out of their own pockets.
