Pie with Paula: Wednesday, June 26th @7:30pm

Join us on Wednesday, June 26th at 7:30 p.m. at Pastor Paula’s home.  Think of this meeting as a living travel brochure to enable you to find out more about life at St. Andrew’s and how we can support you on your faith journey.  You’ll have an opportunity to get to know our captain, Pastor Paula and other traveling companions on your faith journey in a casual atmosphere.  Use your “How may we serve you?” card from your worship folder to indicate your interest; make sure you give us your preferred contact info and we’ll get in touch with you.  Or contact Chris McCann, Director of Discipleship at chris@sabts.org

New Beginnings Class: Sunday, July 14th @ Noon

Great opportunity to “get your feet wet” at St. Andrew’s!   Join us for this one-session class on Sunday, July 14th @ Noon (lunch will be provided).   “New Beginnings” is an ideal way to learn more about basic Christian beliefs that all denominations have in common, the unique personality of Methodism, a chance to explore your spiritual gifts, and learn more about ongoing opportunities to connect, grow and serve with this family of faith.  This course is a prerequisite for membership at St. Andrew’s.  Check the box on the back of your “How may we serve you?” card or contact Chris McCann, Director of Discipleship, at chris@sabts.org

San Clemente Military Family Outreach

St. Andrew’s is proud to partner with and host the San Clemente Military Family Outreach.  SCMFO is an outreach organization that provides support and assistance to military members and their dependents, with special attention being given to the young families stationed at Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base. The Military Family Outreach allows communities in Southern California to become their military families’ local family; to offer friendship, sponsor morale events, provide assistance with financial needs such as groceries, infant diapers, formula, cribs and car seats, car repairs and other emergency requests, school supplies, and counseling.

For more information, check out the SCMFO website at militaryfamilyoutreach.com, or call 949-388-2812.

Welcome INN

Welcome INNSt. Andrew’s is proud to partner with the Welcome INN to feed the homeless and working poor in Capistrano Beach. With over 50 volunteers, the Welcome INN serves one nutritious meal a day 7 days a week to a homeless and working poor population of approximately 50 – 70 men, women and children at Capistrano Beach locations. Volunteers are divided into teams so that they can share the opportunities and not place too much burden on any one individual. In addition, on Saturdays we serve twice daily in Capistrano Beach through the generosity of several local churches and volunteers.

Mission Hospital provides the bulk of the donated food, but there is a team that picks up bread, pies and cakes from local grocery stores, as well as donations from other sources. In addition, volunteers can supplement food and paper products out of their own pockets.

For more information, check out the Welcome INN website at welcomeinnoc.com
